In June 2009 The Rifles Brigade were awarded the Freedom of the Forest at a ceremony in Coleford.

Members of the

Carnival were there

to support the

event.  

We were rewarded by a flypast from a Spitfire and three Lysanders.

The Committee of the Coleford Carnival of Transport are proud to have been presented with the

Coleford Treasure Award.

This award is presented by Coleford Town Council to individuals or organisations that have contributed towards making Coleford a great place to live.

Coleford held its first Family Fun Day in August 2009.

The Carnival team were present to support this new event and to launch the theme for the 2010 Carnival.

The text on the Plaque reads:

“In recognition of their outstanding service  to the people of Coleford by organising the Coleford Carnival of Transport”
